Cleft lip & Cleft Plate (Congenital/Birth Defect)

Out of 1000 born children, one or two are born with cleft upper lip and / cleft palate with associated nose tip deformity. By plastic surgery these can be corrected dramatically. Even the children with failed plastic surgery or unsatisfactory results of it after previous surgery can be corrected by secondary plastic surgery.A large defect in the palate(palatal fistula) can be closed by Buccal myomucosal flap. Nasal tip-alar complex asymmetric can be corrected by conchal cartilage graft.
